After realizing that many students at their school did not have nutritious food and snacks on weekends and holidays, two women stepped up to help out.
“For years now, I have had students come up and ask if I had extra snacks or a shirt,” said Stephanie Schnabel, bookkeeper at Cardinal Stritch Catholic High School & Academy. “Sometimes the kids forget a snack or need a uniform shirt because they spilled something on their shirt in class. Other students just do not have the extra shirt or snack. Sue Laytart and I just really wanted to help.”
On Tuesday, the school held a grand opening of the Cardinal Shop.
Sponsored by Ed Nagle and Nagle Companies, the shop is one-half spirit wear store and one-half market with “blessing bags” and a variety of school supplies. The market also has donated
