We're starting off October 22nd with a fairly active weather pattern shaping up for the Rockford area and surrounding northeastern Illinois counties. Today looks to be blustery and chilly, with overcast skies initially. We'll be monitoring a Frost Advisory that's been issued for our western and southern counties tonight into Thursday morning, specifically from midnight through 9 AM CDT Thursday. This advisory is for areas west and south of Chicago, but will not include the immediate Chicago metro area or northwest Indiana. We're expecting cold air and decreasing cloud cover tonight across these areas to set the stage for widespread frost development by sunrise Thursday.
