FAIRVIEW PARK, Ohio -- The Congressional Bipartisan School Safety & Security Caucus was relaunched in the spring.
Congress members are coming together with educators, law enforcement personnel, school safety experts and parents to foster safer classrooms.
One of more than 60 educators, Fairview Park City Schools Director of Operations Michael Matthews was invited last month by safety and security system provider Raptor Technologies to visit the nation’s capital.
“It’s pretty obvious right now that school safety and security is continuing to be a trending issue in our country,” Matthews said. “So it was important for us to have a voice, to be the voice of concern for what we are seeing here at the local levels.
