Carnival Cruise Lines announced Wednesday year-round cruising from Mobile will begin in May 2027. Would-be cruisers need only listen to a song The Beach Boys released in the 80s to get an idea of the Caribbean destinations they might visit.

On May 15, 2027, the Carnival Valor will offer a myriad of six-day, eight-day and 14-day voyages from Mobile to the Bahamas, Jamaica, Colombia, Panama, Mexico, Aruba, Curacao, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic and the U.S. Virgin Islands, according to a Wednesday statement.
