CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) —

The man accused of bludgeoning four people to death at a rural Linn County property is asking for his trial to be moved out of Cedar Rapids just weeks before jury selection is scheduled to start, KCRG reports .

Luke Truesdell is charged with four counts of first-degree murder in the June 2024 deaths of Romondus Cooper, Keonna Ryan, Amanda Parker, and Brent Brown. His trial is scheduled to begin Nov. 4.

Investigators say Truesdell used a metal pipe to beat all four victims to death inside a detached garage on East Otter Road, Cooper, Ryan, and Parker died at the scene. Brown died at a hospital .
