A driver from Webbwood is facing charges after police received a traffic complaint on Highway 17.

Recommended Videos On Oct. 4 at around 11:30 a.m., the Manitoulin Detachment of the OPP received a traffic complaint reporting a possible impaired driver on Highway 17 in Baldwin Township, near Espanola. Police located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. As a result of further investigation, police determined that the driver was a suspended driver. The driver, 42, was charged with driving while under suspension, driving while suspended under the Highway Traffic Act, and having improper tires. The accused received a summons to appear in court and the police impounded their vehicle for 45 days. Police did not release the name of the accuxed.
