(FOX40.COM) — A 13-year-old girl was injured and a 19-year-old woman was arrested on Friday after a hit-and-run in Lathrop, according to the Lathrop Police Department.
LPD said officers responded to reports of a hit-and-run around 7:43 a.m. near Mossdale Elementary School.

According to the police department, the girl was using the crosswalk when she was hit by a car. LPD said the driver did not stop or slow down after the crash, and instead fled.
The left side of the girl's body, along with her foot, was sore after getting hit.
The suspect was identified through the use of community witnesses, residential security footage and LPD surveillance technology.
The suspect admitted to the hit-and-run, to being unlicensed and to being uninsured,
