SALT LAKE CITY — A 13-year-old boy was hit by a car in the parking lot of an Astro Burgers in South Salt Lake on Tuesday evening, police say.

At approximately 8:33 p.m., authorities responded to an accident near 3900 S State Street.

According to Detective Ryan Alvarez with the South Salt Lake Police Department , the driver was a 24-year-old man in a green Mitsubishi SUV.

Alvarez said the driver was cooperative, and the juvenile who was hit had minor injuries and was transported to the hospital.
