Gov. Gretchen Whitmer will have a judicial appointee to name following the retirement of a Macomb County Circuit Court judge.
Judge Diane M. Druzinski is leaving the Macomb County bench after a 23-year career in Mount Clemens, according to a judicial vacancy notice posted on the State Bar of Michigan’s website.
The notice indicates applications to be considered for the appointment are due by 5 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 24. Applicants are expected to fill out a questionnaire and submit writing samples, resume, and supplemental documents to the bar’s website.
Druzinski could not be immediately reached for comment Wednesday. A message was left for Judge James Biernat, the chief judge of of the circuit court.
It’s unclear when she will actually leave the court.
Druzinski was first elected to t
