BRANSON, Mo. (KY3) - Some of the biggest obstacles that prevent women from getting their breast cancer screening mammograms are time and transportation, according to the Centers for Disease Control.
Now, residents of the Branson area have another option for their screening mammograms.
“We just recently opened our Mercy Branson Imaging Mammography Department in June of this year, and we are so excited about the opportunity to offer that service to that population,” said Brittany Richardson, Imaging Manager for Mercy.
Richardson said, since opening in June, they’re seeing 15 patients a day.
“We continue to see more and more each month as we continue to go on,” said Richardson.
Before the Branson mammography unit opened, the Mobile Mammography Bus would visit Branson two days a week; oth
