Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity has issued its own cease and desist order against Southern University's Beta Sigma chapter over a hazing investigation opened by the university last week .

The organization said that if rumors are true students can expect expulsions from the fraternity and the chapter as a whole will face sanctions.

The statement, issued Wednesday, said that the fraternity's own "Rapid Response Team" is gathering information about happened and which parties were involved.

" But to be very clear…if it is determined by the Rapid Response Team, the University or Law enforcement that the collegiate members hazed then the Chapter along with those individuals will be subjected to penalties and sanctions of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc," the statement, issued by the fraternity'
