New Jersey native Rachel Zegler received an unexpected shoutout on national television on Oct. 21, when she was featured as a clue on "Jeopardy!"

During the Oct. 21 episode, a $1,200 clue in the “Celebrities” category read: “Characters played by this actress include Maria, Anthea & ‘Snow White.’” The correct response: “Who is Rachel Zegler?”

The clue proved to be a triple stumper for the three contestants.

Zegler, 24, grew up in Clifton and attended Immaculate Conception High School in Lodi.

She rose to fame with her Golden Globe–winning performance as Maria in Steven Spielberg’s 2021 remake of "West Side Story." She has since starred in films including "Shazam! Fury of the Gods" and the live-action "Snow White" that released in theaters earlier in 2025. Need a news break? Check out t
