MEDINA, Ohio — The Medina Police Department reports that a 3-year-old girl that had been missing for more than two hours has been found safe.

At 3:44 p.m., the department posted the following on Facebook: "The missing 3-year-old has been FOUND SAFE. Thank you for everyone who called and volunteered to help, checked cameras, and more."

Previously, police had posted that the child was last seen in the 7600 block of Hunter Drive in Lafayette Township at approximately 1:18 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon.

The girl was last wearing pink and white pajamas with Minnie Mouse on them. Police say it is believed that she walked away from her home.
