Ursuline College in Pepper Pike was named as the top school in Ohio and eighth among regional universities in the Midwest for social mobility by the US News and World Report, the college announced in a news release.
The ranking comes after Ursuline was designated by the American Council on Education and the Carnegie Foundation as Northeast Ohio’s only opportunity college for providing higher access and earnings.
“Approximately half of our students are the first in their families to attend college and 40 percent are Pell-eligible,” said David King, president of the college, in the release.“ Our mission of educating for service, leadership, and professional excellence goes together with helping our students pursue their full potential. We change the trajectory of not just their lives but t
