PHOENIX (AZFamily) — The next generation of healthcare professionals can soon be trained right here in the Valley.
Arizona State University’s newly named John Shufeldt School of Medicine and Medical Engineering received preliminary accreditation and can now recruit its first-ever class, the school announced on Wednesday.
The new school of medicine is set to be the flagship school for the university’s new ASU Health system. After being accredited by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME), the John Shufeldt School of Medicine and Medical Engineering can now recruit students. It is set to welcome its first class in August 2026.
