ATLANTA — Shots were fired at a dining hall on Georgia Tech's campus on Tuesday night.

11Alive obtained an alert message that went out alerting the Georgia Tech community that an altercation broke out at West Village Dining Commons between two employees. The message said it resulted in shots being fired, adding that there was no threat to campus.

Officials with Georgia Tech said the shooting involved employees of a third-party staffing agency in an area of the dining hall that is only accessible to staff, school officials said.

No Georgia Tech students or Tech Dining employees were injured, a spokesperson for Georgia Tech said. They said they take last night's incident "seriously." The incident allegedly happened between two employees.
