ATLANTA — The man accused of traveling to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport intending to commit a mass shooting is now in federal custody, a judge in Clayton County said Wednesday. 11Alive has also obtained a federal complaint with new details on the accusations against the man, Billy Joe Cagle.

According to the complaint, Cagle first made a threat to "shoot some cars" as he traveled on I-75 from Cartersville toward the airport. That threat was made in a FaceTime call, with the person on the other end of the call and Cagle's wife then going to Cartersville Police.

A second FaceTime call came from Cagle once he was at the airport, with the U.S. Attorney's Office in Atlanta saying he told the person on the other end: "I'm at the airport, I'm gonna go rat-a-tatt-tatt." The
