EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - The estate of a Boonville man that died while in the Vanderburgh County Jail has filed a federal lawsuit against the Sheriff’s office.
Court records show 61-year-old Bobby Norman died from chest pains and hypertensive atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, after spending thirteen days in the jail during the fall of 2023.
The estate says that Norman required medicine to manage his blood pressure, which was listed on the booking report.
In the filing, it’s said Norman’s family made several phone calls to the jail to complain about Norman not receiving the medications he needed.
