Welland Mayor Frank Campion says it’s still too early to say how he plans to replace departing chief administrative officer Rob Axiak.
The city announced last week Axiak will leave this Friday to become city manager for Cambridge. He starts his new role on Nov. 4.
Axiak joined Welland in 2021 as director of community services and was promoted by Campion to CAO on Nov. 1, 2023, using Ontario’s strong-mayor powers.
