KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A crash is causing serious backups on U.S. 169 North in Kansas City Wednesday afternoon.

The crash happened on 9 Highway, north of downtown Kansas City. Traffic backups go all the way to Riverside, as of 4:45 p.m.

The left lane is closed, according to Kansas City Scout.

Drivers should take an alternate route to avoid traffic.
