PORTLAND, Oregon — U.S. District Court Judge Karin J. Immergut on Friday will decide whether to overturn her second temporary restraining order that blocked National Guard troops from being deployed to Portland by another two weeks.

On Oct. 15, Immergut had extended her temporary restraining order that blocked National Guard troops from being deployed to Portland by another two weeks.

Monday's ruling from the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals determined that President Donald Trump can deploy 200 National Guard troops to Portland, but the ruling left questions on whether it affected a second temporary restraining order (TRO) that covered all federalized National Guard troops, not just those from Oregon.
