One Nation leader Pauline Hanson has officially poured cold water over rumours Barnaby Joyce will take over as her party's leader.
Mr Joyce revealed on the weekend he would not be contesting the seat of New England at the 2028 election and said he would be leaving the National Party at the end of the current term.
The decision followed speculation he was set to join One Nation where he would eventually take over Senator Hanson as leader of the party.
But after laughing off the suggestions earlier in the week, Senator Hanson has firmly put the rumour to bed about Mr Joyce taking over as leader.
