STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (WTAJ) -- Many airports have experienced delays and employees across the country are experiencing a financial strain amid the federal shutdown.

TSA employees at the State College Regional Airport are also experiencing the financial burden, although operations remain unaffected. Despite the federal shutdown, TSA employees at the airport continue to work without pay, ensuring that there are no delays in airport services.

"Coming to work without pay, that is the true impact. They show up, they do their job, we are not seeing any impact currently at our airport," Interim Executive Director of the State College Regional Airport & Centre County Airport Authority Ralph Stewart said.
