JOHNSTOWN, Pa (WTAJ) — Kaylee Frederick, a junior at the University of Pittsburgh Johnstown, is sharing her experience after competing against the best athletes in the world.

She placed 12th out of a field of over 160 women, representing teams from around the world, at the International Association of Ultrarunners 24-Hour World Championship.

Among U.S. runners, she finished second, running 147 miles - a personal best for her.

"As I kept going, I kept slowly creeping up, slowly taking spots, and I somehow finished 12th in the world," Kaylee said. "It was absolutely amazing. I was not expecting to be the top in the world. It's still crazy to wrap my head around."

At just 20 years old, Kaylee has made a name for herself in the Ultra Running World.
