EDITORIAL: Register to vote and prepare to cast your ballot

Last Sunday, we decried the state’s plan to move future local elections to even-numbered years to coincide with state and federal elections, and we listed many of the ways local governments directly impact our lives — from public safety to infrastructure to property taxes and more.

If you don’t vote in the local elections, you give up your ability to help determine who makes the important decisions on those matters.
