TUSCALOOSA, Ala. ( WBRC ) - A man who serves on the Tuscaloosa County Commission turned himself in Wednesday after a disturbance at an elementary school, Tuscaloosa Police say.
Authorities say 66-year-old Reginald Murray was among a group of “latecomers” who were attempting to enter Martin Luther King, Jr. Elementary School after doors had been locked Tuesday morning during the school’s 9 a.m. awards program.
Tuscaloosa Police say an officer informed Murray that he could not enter the ongoing program. Officials say Murray continued to knock on the door before an officer exited the auditorium to escort him out of the building, but that Murray refused to comply and physically resisted while yelling and causing a disruption.
