OHIO, USA — A 74-year-old Bellevue man is dead following a crash in Erie County Wednesday afternoon.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Steven Hay was driving his Cadillac XT5 east on County Road 205 when he struck a Chevrolet S10 at the intersection with County Road 312 in Groton Township just after 3:45 p.m. Officials say the driver of the Chevy, a 32-year-old woman from Bellevue, did not stop at a stop sign when she was supposed to.

Both vehicles then went off the road before colliding with a stop sign and utility pole. Hay was taken by ambulance to Bellevue Hospital, where he died from his injuries. The Chevy driver was transported to Firelands Hospital "with non-incapacitating injuries."

OSHP says the crash remains under investigation. No criminal charges have been filed
