A great week for Radnor’s golf teams was one stroke away from getting even greater on Wednesday.

The Raptors finished 1-under par at the PIAA Class 3A boys golf championship at the Penn State Blue Course, tying with State College a shot behind champion Unionville.

Unionville tallied a 2-under 286 from its top four scorers. Radnor and State College tallied 287. They were nine shots clear of the field.

Radnor fielded two state medalists and a third individual qualifier. Lannon Boyd shot a 2-under 70. Brad McDermott and Elayna Fanelli carded 71s. The final scorer was Sebastian Leone at 75.

Unionville rode individual medalist Charlie Barrickman, who produced a stellar 67. He had five birdies and no bogeys, including four birdies on the final seven holes. Matt McGinnity tallied a 71, and Co
