MANHATTAN, N.Y. (PIX11) -- Broadway Musicals could go dark on Thursday.
The Broadway League and Local 802 met with a mediator on Wednesday to try to reach a deal on a new contract.
As of Wednesday night, the union's Chief of Staff, Rush Perez, said, "It's going to be a long night."
Perez also said the musicians, who have been working without a contract since September 1st, will go on strike if no tentative agreement is reached.
The union says the Broadway League wants it to accept "wage cuts, loss of some healthcare benefits, and potential job losses."
In a statement to PIX 11 News, the Broadway League said, “Good-faith negotiations happen at the bargaining table, not in the press. We value our musicians, and we are committed to working in good faith to get a fair contract done.”
