NEW YORK (PIX11) – Hundreds of people are marching through the streets of Manhattan to protest U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and their enforcement and removal operations in New York City.
The New York City Office of Emergency Management posted on social media to notify New Yorkers about potential traffic delays.
“#Protest Activity: Expect traffic delays & emergency personnel near Foley Square, Manhattan. Use alternate routes.”
Marchers held up signs that read "ICE out of New York," "Defend Democracy," and "ICE fuera aharo," which stands for "ICE out now" in Spanish. More than a dozen officers were also seen on the streets, according to a video posted to Citizen.
