KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - A young man battling for his life received the trip of a lifetime on Wednesday.
Hayden Jennings, who was diagnosed with a rare form of bone cancer, will now get an all-expense paid trip to Hawaii, thanks to the Dream Connection.
The program works to fulfill the dreams of children with life-threatening or debilitating illnesses in East Tennessee.
Jennings was diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma in October of 2024 and played baseball at Karns High School.
He was surprised Wednesday night at the Chi Omega sorority house at the University of Tennessee, something organizers say is truly special.
