The Wyoming Capitol in Cheyenne was evacuated on Tuesday after a report about a suspected explosive device, according to authorities.

“We are responding to a report of a suspected [improvised explosive device] at the Capitol Building. The building was evacuated quickly and safely as a precaution,” the Wyoming Highway Patrol said in a Tuesday post on Facebook.

The Wyoming Highway Patrol also stated that a “multi-agency, precautionary response” was being undertaken by themselves, the Laramie County Sheriff’s Office, the Cheyenne Police Department, and other agencies, including federal agencies.

In his own Tuesday evening post on Facebook, Wyoming Gov. Mark Gordon (R) said he was “actively working with law enforcement and am monitoring the situation at the Capitol.”
