I'm always down for a fun culinary fusion, but when I saw there was a place on the east side doing a Detroit-style gyro pizza it went straight to the top of of my list of "must try" places.

The mix of two Motown classics is what got me inside Halal Eastside Eats & Market near Detroit's Chandler Park, but once I visited I could see that this wasn't your average chicken-and-pizza carryout spot.
