Several small businesses in Five Points are recovering after a string of break ins.
As police investigate, some owners say it’s not about what was stolen but what it’s costing them to repair the damages.
Russell Clayton and his family have owned Pattaya Thai in Five Points neighborhood for more than a decade, but on the early morning of October 13th, their restaurant was broken into.
“Just more shock than anything,” said Clayton, “I received a call from one of my friends that works next door. He walked by and saw there was a police officer and the window was busted out.”
Clayton said the burglar only took $5 from the register but repairs to their door cost more than $400.
