But the honors didn’t stop with his playing days. He’d have his number retired by the New York Yankees, become the NL Manager of the Year in 2020, and tack on a street in your name back in your home town. But there’s always been something missing, even after winning the MVP Award in ’85, he couldn’t help but mention it.
