A special constable hit a child in the testicles in front of his mum and said “ball tap”, a police misconduct hearing was told.

Jasper Pryer was found to have “punched” the 15-year-old in “the privates” on two or three occasions while off-duty.

He had been working as an unpaid officer at Coldharbour Police Station in Aylesford a the time.

A misconduct panel at Maidstone police headquarters on October 7 found Mr Pryer’s actions “bordered on harassment” and “caused reputational harm to Kent Police”.

The panel heard Mr Pryer had denied hitting the boy in the groin in 2022.

But having accepted evidence from eye-witnesses, the tribunal concluded Mr Pryer’s bizarre actions would have resulted in his sacking, had he not already resigned.
