SANDOVAL COUNTY, N.M. (KRQE) – Wednesday night, Sandoval County commissioners approved incentives to try to lure a rocket and weapons facility to New Mexico. County commissioners approved funding to support the construction of the proposed facility just outside the Rio Rancho city limits.
The area is in the running for Project Ranger, a rocket production plant from California-based company Castelion. On Tuesday, people living within three miles voiced their concerns about safety and noise levels.
