Delhi's air quality plummeted into the 'very poor' category on Thursday morning, with Anand Vihar hitting severe levels.

Following Diwali festivities, the city's air pollution worsened significantly, with a sluggish wind speed exacerbating the situation.

The SAMEER app indicated that Anand Vihar's Air Quality Index (AQI) reached 428, making it the highest among all monitoring locations. Meanwhile, the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) recorded the city's AQI at 326 at 9 am, underscoring a grave environmental challenge.
