LITTLE ITALY, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) -- Camille Aspite, a Little Italy resident, describes the moment she was punched in the face by a homeless man in her neighborhood.
The assault happened on Tuesday around 5 p.m. She said she was walking across the street at the intersection of Cedar Street and India Street with her roommate after work when the man punched her on the left cheek.
The impact knocked her to the ground, where Aspite says the man proceeded to yell at her before calmly walking away.
“He shouldn’t be on the street. I’m scared of what could happen to someone else down the line,” Aspite said.
Aspite describes the man as someone she’s seen before in the neighborhood. She said he’s African American, in his 40s, 6-foot-4 and about 160 pounds.
“He’s been aggressive," Aspite said. "
