Renault posted a 6.8 per cent rise in third-quarter revenue on Thursday, beating expectations, as the car maker's popular new models such as the Dacia Bigster as well as its financial services business offset continued weakness in the commercial vehicle market.
The French group generated revenue of 11.4 billion euros ($13.29 billion) for July-September, up 6.8 per cent compared with the same period a year ago, and higher than the 6.2 per cent rise forecast by analysts in a consensus provided by the company.
During the quarter, sales volumes rose by 9.8 per centto 529,486 vehicles.
