The Port of Aberdeen welcomed 43,000 guests during 2025's cruise ship season – up 79% year-on-year.

The growth was driven by a record 65 cruise calls, more than double last year's total, alongside a trend of larger vessels berthing at the new Aberdeen South Harbour.

The season was brought to a close on 20 September with the arrival of Viking Vela at South Harbour. Highlights included maiden calls from Viking Cruises, the arrival of The Ritz-Carlton’s Ilma, the return of the 292 metre-long Costa Favolosa, and hosting Cruise Britain’s annual summer event in June.
