Argyll and Bute Council is set to object to plans for nine, 180 metre wind turbines at Tayinloan, after councillors reacted furiously to a proposed consultation response.
The local authority was asked by the Scottish Government for its views on plans to site a wind farm on the Killean Estate , which would have a maximum generating capacity of 50 megawatts.
However, councillors expressed dissent at the recommendation by officers that the council should only object on the aviation impact of the proposed turbines.
It was agreed that a holding objection should be submitted instead, with a fuller response set to be decided.
