It’s the little things that now haunt Ashley Pratt about her daughter , from her love of crispy, hot french fries to the fit of teenage giggles she’d fall into while creating a reel for her Instagram page.

Now the mother is struggling with black days muddied by unbearable grief as she prepares to say goodbye during the homegoing for the 15-year-old, whose life was cut down Oct. 6 in a brazen daytime, ambush-style shooting in front of a Cocoa restaurant.

“She had dreams and wanted to be somebody,” Pratt said. “I’m just so blessed to have met her and to have had her in my life.”
