The Tennessee Department of Transportation's years-long, $135.9 million overhaul of the I-40 interchange at Donelson Pike near Nashville International Airport will debut another portion of the project on Oct. 23.
A new ramp and collector-distributor road will lead from Nashville International Airport's Terminal Drive onto I-40 eastbound. The collector-distributor road runs parallel to a portion of the interstate to streamline traffic entering I-40.
"As always, drivers are reminded to slow down, allow for extra time for travel, and move over when traveling through a work zone," TDOT and the Metro Nashville Airport Authority said in a joint statement.
Why is there so much road construction by BNA?
The Donelson Pike and I-40 interchange project has been an ongoing joint venture from TDOT
