AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF)- A ribbon cutting will be held at Doctors Hospital of Augusta.
It's for the new Graduate Medical Education (GME) space, making it the latest training site for future physicians.
This space will allow current doctors to train medical graduates through a residency program.
It will have lounges, study rooms, showers, and lockers.
There will also be a simulation lab to represent service lines within Doctors Hospital.
The director of graduate medical education says this training environment is indescribable.
"The culture here at Doctors Hospital is incredible. I've worked at multiple facilities and it's just indescribable. We've got an amazing team here and I'm just excited to bring them into this environment, to train them and hopefully keep them in our community too,
