Senseless.

It’s a word often used to describe crimes committed against one human being against another, and most often aptly so.

But every once in a while, a crime comes along that is indeed so beyond comprehension that it makes others described as senseless seem to almost be understandable.

Such was the fatal attack by Cory Carl Miklic on Calgary naval veteran Brett Davidson three years ago which resulted in a much beloved and valued member of society dead and a violent, reprehensible criminal back behind bars for another stay at His Majesty’s pleasure.
