GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) — The western slope woke up to some rain today! Showers and thunderstorms are expected today with higher elevation even forecasted to see a bit of snow. Most of the rain is expected in the afternoon for the Grand Valley. Partly sunny conditions will fill out the rest of the day with highs near the mid-sixties. Tonight, expect a chance of showers and thunderstorms, mostly cloudy skies with overnight lows sitting in the mid-forties. Widespread valley rain and mountain snow continue through tomorrow morning, with 1 to 4 inches of snow expected above 10,000 feet. Lesser amounts are possible down to 8,500 feet.
