ELGIN, Ill. (WLS) -- A crash between a train and a truck shut down west suburban roads on Thursday morning, Elgin police said.

Police issued an advisory on the road closures at about 7 a.m. due to a train crash.

It was not immediately clear how many people were injured.

State St. from Chicago St. to National St. was shut down as police investigated.

Chopper 7 was over the scene showing a silver truck and what appeared to be a trailer of a landscaping company with damage near the tracks.

A stopped freight train was walso near the scene.
