DEERFIELD TWP, Mich. (WILX) - Livingston County Sheriff’s Deputies located a car crash/DUI suspect after a drone search Monday afternoon.

On Monday, Oct. 21 around 1:40 p.m., deputies were sent to the intersection of North Latson Road and East Cohoctah Road for reports of a car crash.

There, deputies found the driver of an involved car, a 2005 GMC Yukon, had runaway on foot after the crash.

Witnesses described seeing a “heavy-set” man around 50-years-old running eastbound into a cornfield, prompting deputies to deploy dogs and drones.

He was eventually found by a drone in a wooded area northwest of the crash.

He was arrested without incident and faces the following charges:

Possession of methamphetamine

Operating Under the Influence of Liquor or Drugs 7th Offense

Driving While Lice
