Former Major League Baseball pitcher John Morris has died, his family has announced . He was 84 years old.

Morris died in Scottsdale, Ariz., where he had been living, on Oct. 15. He died “peacefully,” according to his family.

"He will be remembered for his dedication, humility, and the deep love he held for his family, faith, and the sport that shaped his life," his family said.

John Morris played for the Philadelphia Phillies , Baltimore Orioles, Seattle Pilots, Milwaukee Brewers and San Francisco Giants across his eight-year MLB career.

He was a part of the Seattle Pilots, an expansion team that played one season in Seattle, in 1969. Morris then transitioned with the club to Milwaukee and was a part of the first Brewers team.

For his career, Morris compiled an 11-7 record and 3.
